LITTLE FALLS, NJ–Engineers can learn how to combine the concepts of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma at a conference to be held May 8 to 9 at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago.

The conference is sponsored by Human Capital Associates and produced by Six Sigma IQ, a division of the International Quality and Productivity Center. Quality magazine and The Manufacturer are supporting media partners.

The two-day conference will include case studies that explain how manufacturers such as TRW, Whirlpool Corp., Amgen, Visteon and The Timken Co. have integrated Six Sigma and lean manufacturing concepts into their businesses and production lines. A series of full-day and half-day workshops will be held May 7 prior to the conference. For more information, call (800) 882-8684 or visit
