IDW 2003 Set for May 12 to 16

NASHVILLE, TN—The International Dimensional Workshop 2003 will be held May 12 to 16 in Nashville, TN. The workshop begins with Bob Hocken’s keynote address, “Task Specific Uncertainty in Coordinate Measurement.” An additional 14 papers will be presented at the workshop.

A National Requirements Day for Dimensional Metrology will precede the workshop. The objective is to assemble representatives from government and commercial organizations with expertise in the area of dimensional metrology and present organizational visions and requirements during the next five to 10 years. The coordination is expected to help identify and address current and long-term dimensional measurement issues. The information will then be used to develop sensible and unified approaches for reaching independent and interdependent goals and objectives.
