Starrett Acquires Tru-Stone Technologies Inc.

ATHOL, MA-The L.S. Starrett Co. has acquired the assets of Tru-Stone Technologies (Waite Park, MN). Tru-Stone Technologies provides high-

precision, custom-engineered granite machine bases and accessories to manufacturers of inspection and measurement equipment and other industries. The acquisition will allow Starrett to diversify its customer base, broaden the array of custom granite solutions for industry and leverage its global brand strength.

Tru-Stone services a number of industries, including semiconductors, flat-panel displays, advanced microelectronics, aerospace, automotive, medical, optical and general industrial.

Douglas A. Starrett, president and CEO of Starrett, says, "We're excited about the acquisition of Tru-Stone and the strategic fit that it provides our company.
