The SmartScope Flash 625 dimensional measurement system is a small-footprint floor stand system featuring a 500- by 610- by 200-millimeter XYZ measurement volume, with the added flexibility of a 300-millimeter extended Z-axis option. Additionally, the system can be equipped with a through-the-lens (TTL) laser, adding noncontact surface contouring to its touch probe, video and micro-probe measuring capability. The system also is configurable with sensors for almost any application. The system’s optical assembly moves in the X-axis across an angled steel crossbeam while the part moves in the Y-axis on a precision servo-driven stage. Both axes use high-resolution scales for positional feedback. A metrologically stable granite platform ensures proper damping and structural integrity. And integral system electronics minimize the system’s footprint while maximizing stage travel.
