STATE COLLEGE, PA-The Wall Street Journal named Minitab, provider of software and services for quality improvement and statistics education, as one of 35 finalists in its first annual ranking of top small workplaces in North America.

In collaboration with Winning Workplaces, a non-profit consulting company, the news organization identified Minitab as a business that fosters teamwork and innovation while also providing exceptional benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

“The Wall Street Journal collected more than 800 nominations, so it’s a genuine honor to be among the 35 finalists for the Winning Workplace award,” says Todd Hershbine, human resources and administrative services executive.

As evidence that Minitab is a company in which employees thrive, the Journal and Winning Workplaces noted that every Minitab manager has been promoted from within, and that employees receive a generous 401(k) plan and insurance package, along with access to a swimming pool, weight room, game room, personal trainers and an on-site theater.

In addition to being selected as a Winning Workplace finalist, Minitab also was honored for outstanding customer service this year. Frost & Sullivan, a growth consulting company, named Minitab the recipient of its 2007 Customer Value Leadership of the Year Award.
