2/29/08 PEER Bearing Recognized as John Deere "Partner-Level Supplier"

Waukegan, IL – PEER Bearing Company has earned recognition as a Partner‐level supplier for 2007 in the John Deere Achieving Excellence Program. The Partner‐level status is Deere & Company’ highest supplier rating. The Waukegan based company was selected for the honor in recognition of its dedication to providing products and service of outstanding quality as well as its commitment to continuous improvement. Company employees accepted the recognition during formal ceremonies held on February 20, 2008 in Davenport, IA.

PEER Bearing is a supplier of radial, tapered, mounted units, and specialty bearings to John Deere’ worldwide operations. Suppliers who participate in the Achieving Excellence program are evaluated annually in several key performance categories, including quality, cost management, delivery, technical support and wavelength, which is a measure of responsiveness. John Deere Supply Management created the program in 1991 to provide a supplier evaluation and feedback process that promotes continuous improvement. PEER Bearing Company, located at 2200 Norman Drive South, Waukegan, IL, manufactures a broad line of: radial ball, tapered roller, miniature, mounted units, insert, self‐lubricated, agricultural bearings and oil and shaft seals. PEER is a member of the Farm Equipment Manufacturer’ Association (FEMA), Farm Equipment Wholesaler’ Association (FEWA), American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE), Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA), Bearing Specialists Association (BSA), and is a sponsor of the Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA).
