Minneapolis -- ASI DataMyte, Inc. and ddw Computersysteme GmbH (ddw) have concluded an agreement to combine the ddw business with ASI DataMyte’s global enterprise. ddw will be merged with ASI DataMyte GmbH, and the merged companies will operate under the ASI DataMyte name.

ddw, located in Lübeck, Germany, is one of the providers of CAQ (Computer Aided Quality) solutions in the German and European markets. Its manufacturing quality-related software suite, known as “QDA,” is a completely integrated set of quality software applications that address a broad range of manufacturers’ quality control requirements, including SPC, APQP, FMEA, PPAP, Gage Management, Document Management, Complaint Management, Supplier Management, Test Planning and Incoming Inspection. ddw also offers a complete Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and an Assembly Management solution.

“This is the most important development for ASI DataMyte since the merger in 2002 of Applied Statistics and the DataMyte business,” said Frank Voigt, President of ASI DataMyte. “ddw’s and ASI DataMyte’s product lines, customer bases, sales channels and personnel are a perfect fit, and the combination of the two enterprises will provide many opportunities for both companies and their respective customers.”

“This combination offers ddw the opportunity to provide truly global support to our customer base, as well as to make a wide range of additional valued solutions readily available to those customers,” said Uwe Windt and Sven Tetzlaff, Managing Directors of ddw. “To be a part of the first CAQ software company to take its solutions global is a very exciting proposition for all of us at ddw.”
