Orion, MI - March 7, 2008, – Applied Manufacturing Technologies Inc. (AMT), a supplier of factory automation design, engineering and process consulting services announced that it has acquired K-R Automation, a Warren, MI-based automation controls design, engineering and panel manufacturing company. The acquisition is effective immediately, and is expected to enhance AMT’s ability to meet growing customer demand for controls engineering, design, software and panel fabrication.

K-R Automation will be folded into AMT’s existing operations. AMT will maintain K-R’s current manufacturing and engineering facility at Centerwood Drive in Warren, MI. John Frank will assume a new role on AMT’s executive team, reporting to Mike Jacobs.
