The AVIA clinical trial label inspection system is both language and print orientation independent, corrects for character drift and print warping, can perform optical character recognition (OCR), optical character verification (OCV) or image comparison on variable content information, and supports the setting of different inspection sensitivity regions on labels. All label images are stored for post-inspection review, and when the inspection process is done difference reports are generated for examination by quality control or production personnel. Because it is compatible with the PSIFEye computer automated proofreading system, inspection templates can be transferred between the two products.
