LE BOURGET DU LAC, FRANCE, June 26-RocTool, provider of rapid material molding, announces its Cage System, a molding process by induction adapted for plastic injection. “The Cage System, which allows the heating and cooling of the mold within seconds, opens considerable prospects for the plastics industry,” says Alex Guichard, CEO of RocTool.

The technology allows the production of very thin parts, non-visible welding lines, a reduction of pressures to inject materials that could not be injected before and improved part rheology.

“We have recently made a 1-millimeter thin prototype using a material that is normally difficult to reduce beyond 2.5 millimeters,” says Guichard.
