Boxborough, MA - Intertek, a leading global provider of quality and safety solutions, is pleased to announce that Calin Moldovean has joined the company as its president of systems certification. In his new role, he will direct the global operations of Intertek’s management systems certification group.

Moldovean will lead the continued growth of Intertek’s third- and second-party auditing services, and extend the company’s global network of management systems certification personnel. These efforts will allow Intertek to support a wider range of global and local industries.

“Calin brings profound expertise and experience in designing, implementing, selling and delivering high-end system certification and auditing services to global customers,” says Stefan Butz, group executive vice president for Intertek’s Industrial Services division.

Moldovean comes to Intertek from TÜV SÜD, where he was most recently their vice president of auditing and medical services for the NAFTA region. He holds an M.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from Transilvania University (Brasov, Romania) and an MBA from Suffolk University (Boston, MA, USA).

Moldovean says, “I am excited to lead a team of extremely professional, knowledgeable, and – most importantly – customer-focused experts. Together, we will continue towards our goal of becoming the leading certification body in markets around the world.”
