Aberdeen's Annual Manufacturing Summit to be Held Next Week

BOSTON - Aberdeen Group's annual Manufacturing Executive Summit will be held in Boston November 4 and 5th, and will yield a host of industry thought leaders that will convene to discuss the tough issues facing manufacturing organizations today. This year’s summit participants will have the unique opportunity to listen to and network with global manufacturers in this two-day forum designed to foster learning and sharing in an executive atmosphere framed in research.

Summit topics and subject matter are derived from the activities of the market/economy as well as key challenges as outlined by our research survey participants. Executive presenters of this best practices and networking event will not only share their stories of manufacturing success, but provide actionable recommendations for more effectively managing manufacturing operations.

Also during the proceedings, Aberdeen will present five companies with Manufacturing Achievement Awards for excellence. The nominees were selected solely on based upon Aberdeen research over the past 12 months.

A Practical Field Guide for ISO 9001:2008

The purpose of this field guide is to assist organizations, step by step, in implementing a quality management system (QMS) in conformance with ISO 9001:2008, whether from scratch or by transitioning from ISO 9001:2000. It examines each sub-clause of Sections 4–8 of ISO 9001:2008, which contain the requirements, and gives a list of the documentation/documents required, internal audit questions, a summary of management’s responsibilities, and a flowchart of the steps that need to be undertaken to satisfy the requirements.
