KANSAS CITY, MO, November 17-PAS Technologies Inc. has announced that its PAS Technologies North Kansas City facility has received accreditation by Nadcap in accordance with SAE Aerospace Standard AS7003 for its coating services. The Kansas City’s facility quality management system also is certified to the ISO 9001: 2000 and AS 9100 quality specifications.

PAS Technologies has achieved Nadcap quality accreditation in the following specialty areas: coatings, chemical processing, heat treating, nondestructive testing, surface enhancement including shot peening, peen forming, and glass bead peening.

Nadcap accreditation is considered an approval of a quality supplier to the aerospace and defense industries. Administered by the Performance Review Institute (PRI), Nadcap is a co-operative industry effort for quality assurance in the aerospace, defense and related industries throughout the world. The Nadcap organization consists of major prime contractors, suppliers and government agencies.

Nadcap was originally the acronym NADCAP (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program)-but was changed to Nadcap when it became international. Nadcap provides accreditation of subcontractors and suppliers of special processes to stringent aerospace standards in coatings, chemical processing, materials testing laboratory, heat treating and other specialized fields.
