MINNEAPOLIS, November 18-Laser Design Inc., supplier of 3-D laser scanners, has signed a distribution agreement with 3-D measurement solutions provider Quality Measurement Technology (QMT) in Auburn, WA, to meet increased demand for its Surveyor 3-D laser scanning systems throughout the northwestern United States.

The Surveyor 3-D scanning system is used for inspection as well as reverse engineering and computer-aided design (CAD) modeling for product design and development in many industries.

The QMT distributorship will showcase and demonstrate Laser Design’s portable Surveyor-FA (Faro-arm) scanner and its Surveyor WS-Series scanning system to area customers. The portable Faro-Arm system is available with an 8-inch laser line scanner.

“The metrologists at QMT have a wealth of experience in performing 3-D laser scanning for prominent area companies and suppliers to the aerospace industry,” says C. We are pleased to have QMT represent our products and services, and provide support to our customers."
