The QC10 ballbar is a system for machine tool and motion system analysis and diagnosis. The system has a set up and test procedure of often less than 10 minutes per machine and includes reporting and analysis software. The portable system automatically detects and diagnoses a range of machine geometry and motion errors. The system’s current software version, Ballbar 5.05 HPS, advances its machine analysis capabilities. The software is a Windows-based package with features designed to encourage regular and repeatable machine testing. The latest version adds a historic review function, machine performance acceptance limits, part program generator and ballbar plot simulator.
