TAMPA, FL – Pilgrim Software Inc., a provider of Enterprise Compliance and Quality Management (ECQM) software solutions, announced it has been named one of the top Asian-American owned businesses in the United States. The 9th annual listing of Top Asian-American owned businesses ranking was established by DiversityBusiness.com, a business-to-business internet site, in recognition of the economic power of privately held businesses.

Pilgrim Software, a privately held software company was founded in 1993 by President and Chief Executive Officer Ami Utji, Chief Operating Officer Prashanth Rajendran, Chief Technology Officer Atulya Risal, and Maya Leeflang, Pilgrim’s Financial Manager and Treasurer.

"Pilgrim is honored to be recognized for its achievements as a successful private company, as well as for its cultural diversity, from management, to our talented staff of industry experts, to our global reach as a respected leader in the ECQM software arena," Utji says. "In our 15-plus years, we’ve grown steadily and we’re proud of all that we’ve achieved to this point. We sincerely thank our employees for their dedication and strong work ethic that has allowed us to be the pioneers in what we do. We are looking forward to the next 15, meeting the challenges of our own industry and those of our customers around the world."

"Entrepreneurs are a growing force in the U.S. economy, and a force to be reckoned with," says Kenton Clarke, CEO of Computer Consulting Associates International, the company that built DiversityBusiness.com. This is a whole business segment that can carry its own, that provides jobs, products and services, and generates wealth for their communities. These are the new leaders in American business."
