Gear Technology Recognized by Boeing for Performance Excellence

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA-Gear Technology, a precision gear manufacturer, has been recognized by Boeing with a Silver Performance of Excellence Award.

"We are proud to recognize the performance excellence of our suppliers, who have demonstrated that they are the best in the Boeing supply base," says Steve Schaffer, Boeing enterprise leader of supplier management and vice president and general manager of supplier management for Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

Tom Marino, president of Gear Technology, acknowledged that the annual award is based on superior product quality and delivery metrics during a 12-month period, and is presented to a select group of worldwide Boeing suppliers.

"Boeing is committed to developing, rewarding and retaining our top-performing suppliers who share our focus on first-time quality and on-time delivery. These high-level certifications represent our ongoing commitment to superior product quality, customer value and personal customer service,” says Schaffer.

Gear Technology has been manufacturing gears for aerospace, military and commercial manufacturers since 1986. Today the company occupies more than 16,320-square-feet of modern manufacturing space with state-of-the-art, computer-controlled equipment.

“Our integrated manufacturing processes, including sophisticated job tracking systems, ensures products are produced with careful attention to the most intricate engineering detail and product specifications,” says Marino. “The company also offers gear blanking, engineering consultation and sophisticated inventory management services.”
