PQ Systems Celebrates 25th Anniversary

DAYTON, OH-Software developer PQ Systems Inc. is celebrating its 25th year of providing software, training and training materials to support product and process improvement in manufacturing, healthcare, education and service environments.

PQ Systems provides process control and data analysis software. Its products and services help customers meet ISO and other standards, compete for Baldrige recognition, pursue Six Sigma efforts and improve quality.

Founded by Michael J. Cleary, Ph.D., the company distributes software and training products throughout the world from its headquarters in Dayton as well as its offices in Frankston, Australia and Formby, England, serving the Pacific Rim and European Union.

“In 25 years, we’ve seen quality improvement initiatives move from the factory floor to the classroom to the hospital lab, and because we’ve prided ourselves on being responsive to customers for a quarter of a century, we’ve been able to move along with them by developing innovative software technology, new Web-based training programs and efficient, expert technical support,” says Cleary. “We’re grateful to customers who have been with us throughout our history, and to the newest quality professionals who have joined our growing customer list."

A Practical Field Guide for ISO 9001:2008

The purpose of this field guide is to assist organizations, step by step, in implementing a quality management system (QMS) in conformance with ISO 9001:2008, whether from scratch or by transitioning from ISO 9001:2000. It examines each sub-clause of Sections 4–8 of ISO 9001:2008, which contain the requirements, and gives a list of the documentation/documents required, internal audit questions, a summary of management’s responsibilities, and a flowchart of the steps that need to be undertaken to satisfy the requirements.
