CHESHIRE, UNITED KINGDOM-UK-based Phoenix Inspection Systems, provider of nondestructive testing (NDT) equipment, is launching Phoenix Inspection Systems Inc. (Phoenix ISI), a sister company that will be based in Atlanta, GA.

Established in 1983, Phoenix manufactures a range of NDT products, from transducers and manual scanners to turbine and generator inspection systems. The company also designs and manufactures time of flight diffraction (TOFD) ultrasonic products, as well as acoustic inspection devices.

“We have been supplying the North American market for many years now and want to establish a genuine local presence to provide more intensive support to our existing North American customers and to expand our business here,” says Karl Quirk, managing director of Phoenix’s UK operation.

“I have dealt with Phoenix for many years and feel there is a gap in the North American market for what it can offer,” says Frank Brant, who will head up the new operation. “The company provides high-quality, cost-effective ultrasonic systems and has a strong track record for dealing with specialist or customized requirements and offering good customer service and on-time delivery.”
