Memphis, TN – InfinityQS International was recently recognized for its $1 million commitment to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, one of the world’s premier centers for the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases.

A lab in the hospital’s Infectious Diseases Department was dedicated in recognition of InfinityQS’ leadership support October 22, 2009. InfinityQS’ Chief Executive Officer Michael Lyle and Chief Financial Officer BK Im were among the guests who toured the lab and the hospital during the recognition event.

InfinityQS offers quality control solutions that help manufacturers reduce scrap, comply with regulations and standards and meet customer requirements. The international company, based in Chantilly, VA, is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2009.

“InfinityQS’ ongoing commitment to St. Jude’s lifesaving mission means so much as we continue our efforts to find cures and save children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases,” said Boyd Spencer, Senior Philanthropic Advisor for ALSAC/St. Jude. “This is a gift to children in communities everywhere, because the groundbreaking research and lifesaving treatment at St. Jude is freely shared with doctors and scientists throughout the world.”

St. Jude physicians and scientists, working together under one roof, have pioneered treatments that have helped push the overall survival rates for childhood cancers from less than 20% when the hospital opened in 1962 to 80% today. The survival rate for the most common form of childhood cancer, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, has risen from just 4% in 1962 to 94% today.
