Insulet, in tandem with Pilgrim, has automated its complaints management, lot qualification and quality data management with its outsourced manufacturer in China to address customer feedback on its products.
“In today’s growing diabetes treatment market, Insulet is looking to capture, manage and trend our customer feedback, and incorporate that information into continual product improvement and enhancements in accordance with our corporate commitment to improve the lives of people with diabetes,” says Ruthann DePietro, vice president of quality & regulatory affairs at Insulet Corp.
Pilgrim’s SmartSolve streamlines the entire issue resolution lifecycle and enables enterprisewide standardized problem-handling processes. This allows companies to manage deviations and incidents in real-time so they can quickly identify and implement resolution strategies.
Insulet will continue to expand the use of the Pilgrim solutions by automating its nonconformance, deviation, CAPA, document control, SOP enforcement, training records management, internal audits and external audit-related processes.
“We are pleased that Insulet has partnered with Pilgrim in managing its key compliance and quality management initiative,” says Prashanth Rajendran, Pilgrim’s chief operating officer. “Companies that adopt the SaaS strategy spend more time streamlining their operations and focusing on innovation, as opposed to building and maintaining IT infrastructure and architecture to run their strategic applications.
