The Phoenix RB is a direct computer controlled (DCC) coordinate measuring machine (CMM) with a measuring capacity of 12 by 12 by 10 inches. The CMM has a self-contained moving bridge design with a full granite table on a stand that houses the electronics and computer. It also incorporates hardened and precision ground ways with high-accuracy mechanical bearings. Steel scales mounted on steel structures assure uniform thermal response. Intrinsic mechanical accuracy is independent of volumetric software error correction. The motorized system includes a controller, joystick, probe, computer system and proprietary software.
