WILLOW GROVE, PA-The EF Precision Group, a contract manufacturer, announced today that it has successfully completed the requirements to be a AS 9100 certified supplier in the aerospace industry. The AS 9100 certification is the quality management standard for the aerospace industry. The accreditation allows The EF Precision Group to pursue larger and more lucrative contracts in a key growth market.

For suppliers in the aerospace industry, achieving the AS9100 designation is a key milestone. It is considered the gold standard for quality assurance specifically for aerospace companies. It ensures that the company has passed stringent audit requirements and evaluations of its manufacturing processes to achieve a standard of quality required in the aerospace industry. The current version of A S9100, Revision B, aligns with the quality management standard of ISO 9001: 2008, with AS9100 holding the premier designation.

The AS9100 certification creates new opportunities for The EF Precision Group in a key growth market. “We have steadily increased our production in the aerospace industry for the past few years,” says Bud Tyler, vice president. “The AS 9100 certification holds us to a higher quality level. Aerospace companies have the most demanding regulatory requirements in manufacturing. To achieve this distinction means that The EF Precision Group’s quality system will stand up to the exacting standards and services required in this demanding industry.”
