ST. LOUIS-Spartech Corp.’s Color and Specialty Compounds Business announced has received the Delphi Pinnacle Award for 2009. The ceremony, held on April 14, 2010, in Detroit, MI, is Delphi’s highest supplier recognition. Spartech is a two-time recipient of this award.

Delphi’s Pinnacle Award, established in 2004 and presented annually, recognizes a premier group of Delphi suppliers for their commitment to and achievement of outstanding quality, service and overall value. Spartech was one of only 11 nominated companies and the only plastic compounds supplier to be selected to receive this award from Delphi.

Criteria for the award include no disruptions, zero customer impacts for quality, green indicator for ISO certification on the compliance section of Delphi scorecard and supporting Delphi’s position on social responsibility. Michael Marcum, Spartech’s senior vice president, stated, “We are truly pleased to be recognized as the winner of this prestigious award from our valued customer, Delphi. Spartech’s commitment to quality, sustainability and social responsibility coincide with this honor.”

Presenting the award was Rodney O’Neal, Delphi president and CEO, and Sidney Johnson, Delphi vice president, global supply management. On hand to accept the award on behalf of Spartech was Marcum and Chad Tomsheck, business director.
