ANN ARBOR, MI -- Representatives of Aven Inc. and its SharpVue division will demonstrate new product lines this month at a pair of technology and industrial engineering conferences in the Chicago area.

The manufacturer and global distributor of optical inspection tools will be at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) at Chicago's McCormick Place from Sept. 13 to 18. Executives also will participate in the Medical Design & Manufacturing expo (MD&M Midwest) in Rosemont, IL, from Sept. 28 to 30

Aven's versatile Mighty Scope Pro Pack, a handheld magnification kit for digital inspection, analysis and measurement, makes its marketplace debut at IMTS next week. The combination pack has a pair of different-power Mighty Scope magnifiers with USB outputs, a contrast-enhancing polarizer attachment, adjustable stands and software.

"We've bundled this popular instrument into as an economical set," says company President Mike Shahpurwala. "This makes it easy to add precision image capture tools for QC, lab work, defect analysis and document checks at a lower cost than if bought separately."

The Michigan supplier's booths also will feature the iVue and iScope video inspection systems from SharpVue, new digital color cameras for microscopy, a 72-LED fluorescent ring light and an updated line of stereo zoom microscopes.

Next week's IMTS event, sponsored every two years by the Association for Manufacturing Technology, attracts about 92,000 attendees from around the world. More than 1,100 exhibitors will participate. MD&M is a multiple-industry exposition that includes Design & Manufacturing Midwest, Electronics Midwest and Assembly Technology Expo.

"These shows are productive opportunities to describe product capabilities and learn more about customers' applications," says Shahpurwala.

- Aven will be at Booth E-4860 of ITMS and Booth 4308 of MD&M Midwest. For more information, call (734) 973-0099 or visitwww.aveninc.com.
