CHICAGO-Boeing has named Kim Hammonds chief information officer and vice president of the company's information technology (IT) organization. Hammonds, who was formerly vice president of the Boeing IT infrastructure organization, replaces John Hinshaw, who has been named vice president and general manager of Boeing's new information solutions division in Boeing Defense, Space and Security.

In her previous role, Hammonds was responsible for developing and maintaining solutions inclusive of network, computing, server, storage, collaboration and infrastructure technologies. She joined Boeing in August 2008 as the vice president of Boeing IT's business systems organization, where she managed application, development and maintenance activities in support of finance, HR, internal services, sales and marketing and Boeing Capital Corporation.
