Call for Papers for 2011 Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference (CMSC)

Phoenix, AZ-The Coordinate Metrology Society, the membership association for measurement professionals, has announced a call for papers in anticipation of the 2011 Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference (CMSC). The 27th annual event will be held in Phoenix, AZ from July 25-29, 2011.

Metrology professionals are invited to submit abstracts for presentations and technical papers covering industry best practices, scientific research and developments, and successful applications of 3-D coordinate measurement systems.

Abstract submissions will be peer-reviewed by the Coordinate Metrology Society and considered for presentation at CMSC 2011. The deadline for abstracts is March 1, 2011. For guidelines or more information about presenting a technical paper at CMSC 2011, contact Technical Presentations Coordinator Michael Raphael at presentations@cmsc.org . A Practical Field Guide for ISO 9001:2008

The purpose of this field guide is to assist organizations, step by step, in implementing a quality management system (QMS) in conformance with ISO 9001:2008, whether from scratch or by transitioning from ISO 9001:2000. It examines each sub-clause of Sections 4–8 of ISO 9001:2008, which contain the requirements, and gives a list of the documentation/documents required, internal audit questions, a summary of management’s responsibilities, and a flowchart of the steps that need to be undertaken to satisfy the requirements.
