DGI Supply to Acquire Midwest Industrial Tools

WHEELING, IL– DGI Supply , a DoALL company, announced today that it has signed a letter of intent to purchase all outstanding shares of Midwest Industrial Tools (MIT, Omaha, NB). The owners expect the deal to be finalized by May 1. Allan Chartier, the current president and CEO of MIT, will remain with the company through the transition.

When reached for comment, , said “We are thrilled to join MIT’s talented team with ours. Their technical sales force and value added services are the perfect strategic fit.”

“The combined inventory will improve service levels and DGI’s automated systems will improve efficiency while reducing errors,” says Bill Henricks, COO for DoALL. “With the MIT account, managers providing the same high level of technical support and now offering better service and logistics, this move is a strong positive for MIT customers.”

DGI Supply is a full line industrial distribution company which represents more than 1,500 of the best brand names in the industry. In business since 1927, DGI Supply has 46 sales offices in North America.

A Practical Field Guide for ISO 9001:2008

The purpose of this field guide is to assist organizations, step by step, in implementing a quality management system (QMS) in conformance with ISO 9001:2008, whether from scratch or by transitioning from ISO 9001:2000. It examines each sub-clause of Sections 4–8 of ISO 9001:2008, which contain the requirements, and gives a list of the documentation/documents required, internal audit questions, a summary of management’s responsibilities, and a flowchart of the steps that need to be undertaken to satisfy the requirements.
