MAPLE GROVE, MN- Carl Zeiss Industrial Metrology has built the 3000th Contura G2 coordinate measuring machine (CMM) in the United States, which was delivered to a medical product manufacturer in Connecticut.

Introduced in December of 2005 for small and mid-sized companies wanting the benefits of high-speed scanning, Zeiss says tthe Contura G2 has been a success. “Customers quickly see the advantage of our total system design, where Zeiss scanning technology is built into the machine, controller, sensor and software,” states U.S. vice president of marketing Chris Grow. “In over 20 years at Carl Zeiss, I’ve never seen such a strong demand in such a short time.”
