LÉVIS, QUEBEC-Acting on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, the Honourable Steven Blaney, Member of Parliament for Lévis-Bellechasse and Minister of Veterans Affairs, today announced the awarding of financial assistance from the Government of Canada to Creaform Inc. These funds will enable the firm to commercialize its 3-D optical metrology products to manufacturing companies.

"The economy and job creation are key priorities for the Government of Canada," says Minister Blaney. "This financial contribution to Creaform illustrates our firm commitment to supporting enterprises that are putting strategies in place to expand their markets, particularly through export, and are thereby creating wealth and prosperity in their regions."

Established in 2002 in Lévis, Creaform Inc. is a world-scale technology company specializing in 3-D digital solutions. Creaform is looking to expand into metrology-the science of measurement-and, to that end, plans to produce promotional materials, carry out advertising campaigns in specialty media sources and take part in more than 20 commercial fairs.
