State College, PA –Minitab Inc., the leading provider of software for quality improvement, is proud to congratulate its customers who are winners of this year’s Baldrige National Quality Awards and the International Quality and Productivity Center’s Process Excellence Global Awards.

The Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award is the U.S. government’s highest honor for performance excellence through innovation, improvement and visionary leadership. Two of this year’s recipients, Henry Ford Health System of Detroit, and Schneck Medical Center of Seymour, IN, are Minitab customers. Both organizations consistently exceeded top health care performance levels throughout 2011 in categories such as patient satisfaction and financial wellness.

The U.S. government expanded the Baldrige Awards in 1999 to include health care organizations, and this marks the first year that several health care operations have been selected at one time.

Minitab customers also swept the IQPC Process Excellence Awards, which were presented during a ceremony at the organization’s annual Process Excellence Week Summit, held in Orlando, FL, in January.

These awards celebrate process excellence initiatives that demonstrate best practices and expand and increase the application of Lean Six Sigma globally. Minitab has been used to analyze data in virtually every major Lean Six Sigma quality improvement initiative worldwide, and each of this year’s winners use Minitab Statistical Software to increase profits and raise the standard of goods and services they offer.

“We are honored that these organizations use our software,” says Michelle Paret, Minitab product marketing manager. “Minitab is dedicated to meeting the needs of quality professionals, and we’re proud to see our customers achieve success and improve quality.”
