WATERLOO, ONTARIO-Teledyne Dalsa, a Teledyne Technologies company and a global machine vision technology corporation, will partner with Surrey Satellite Technology Limited (SSTL), a provider of operational and commercial satellite programs, to develop a multispectral sensor for an advanced earth observation application.

With the help of Teledyne DALSA's expertise in multispectral imaging, the multimillion dollar development project is expected to begin delivering high resolution images during 2014.

This earth observation application will utilize the DMC3 satellite constellation and demand higher resolution commercial earth imaging than any past project. The multispectral sensors developed by Teledyne DALSA will allow SSTL's subsidiary company and client, DMC International Imaging, to acquire higher resolution data for applications such as urban planning and environment and disaster monitoring.
