Department of Veterans Affairs selects Proquis Enterprise

EATONTOWN, NJ-The Department of Veterans Affairs, Technology Acquisition Center, has selected and contracted with Proquis Inc. (Schaumburg IL) to supply, install, configure and implement its electronic document control and quality management system Proquis Enterprise.

The project is to support, enhance, and sustain the deployment of an integrated quality management system (iQMS) that enhances business processes and reliability as well as supporting ISO 9001:2008 standards within the Veteran Health Administration (VHA) organization.

Proquis Enterprise QMS software has been supplied to a organizations around the world for more than 10 years and directly supports ISO 9001:2008 conformance through control of documents and records required by the VHA.

The contract is expected to last five years with Proquis Inc, providing a range of services as well as their software. The rollout will extend use of Proquis Enterprise to 165 sites and with around 200 users per site. The value of the project is expected to be over $10 million.

A Practical Field Guide for ISO 9001:2008

The purpose of this field guide is to assist organizations, step by step, in implementing a quality management system (QMS) in conformance with ISO 9001:2008, whether from scratch or by transitioning from ISO 9001:2000. It examines each sub-clause of Sections 4–8 of ISO 9001:2008, which contain the requirements, and gives a list of the documentation/documents required, internal audit questions, a summary of management’s responsibilities, and a flowchart of the steps that need to be undertaken to satisfy the requirements.
