Comet Introduces Line of X-Ray Modules

FLAMATT, SWITZERLAND-Comet, a global supplier of industrial X-ray components and modules for nondestructive testing applications, introduces a new X-Ray Source (XRS). For the new XRS, Yxlon International (Hamburg, Germany) was chosen as supplier for the generators. This exclusive worldwide supplier agreement for OEMs will give Comet a greater level of sales and service for their worldwide XRS and generator customer base.

Comet’s XRS line allows customers to custom tailor their X-ray inspection system for any nondestructive testing application. With the XRS module, the need for system manufacturers and integrators to order, test and configure components from separate suppliers is eliminated. This industrial X-ray product solution includes an X-ray tube, high voltage generator, cable and cooler that are easy to integrate, use and maintain, and allows for more time to be allocated to essential operator requirements.

“We are very excited to release this new product line,” says Johann Schulz, head of marketing and sales at Comet’s business unit Industrial X-ray. “We have immediately added the new Yxlon X-ray generators to our XRS modules, and we are confident that this new agreement with a strong supplier like Yxlon will further enhance the innovation power we offer to our global customer base.”
