TROY, MI -- X-R-I Testing, a provider of nondestructive testing (NDT) services to the aerospace and other industries, has established a fully-equipped training center adjacent to its Troy, MI, headquarters to teach nondestructive testing methods, particularly for aerospace applications. The curriculum is designed for individuals working in the aerospace industry with limited NDT experience as well as those seeking to upgrade their existing skill set. Course offerings include computed radiology (CR), digital radiography (DR), magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic, and acid and chemical etch inspection methods. The program meets the classroom requirements of NAS410.

" The field of nondestructive testing offers a challenging career with an opportunity to use both your hands and your head, and the demand for certified NDT technicians is at an all time high," said Scott Thams, president of X-R-I Testing. "Merging that need with our access to state-of-the art technology and understanding of the aerospace industry's requirements made the addition of training to our offerings a logical step."

X-R-I Testing and its sister company, Test Equipment Distributors, have over 65 years of experience in providing a broad range of nondestructive testing equipment and services, including liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, eddy current, ultrasonic and digital radiography.
