MISTRAS Holding Group Acquires Code Services

PRINCETON JUNCTION, NJ-MISTRAS Holding Group (MHG) has acquired Code Services, a full-service NDT and pre- and post-weld heat treatment provider with locations in Kentucky and Alabama. Code Services combines NDT inspection with heat treating and has a technical management team with more than 95 years of experience in both fields.

"Code Services' commitment to quality work is unconditional, as is the company's dedication to customer satisfaction," says Clyde May, president of Code. "Experience, expertise and innovation in both NDT and heat treating are the driving factors for success. In MISTRAS Holdings, we see a relentless search for technological excellence that is continually driven by its founder, its products division and its rigorous advanced NDT certification programs."

Dr. Sotirios J. Vahaviolos, chairman and CEO of MHG, says, "We are excited to have Code Services and Clyde and his team as part of our family. We are looking forward to complimenting their work with more proprietary advanced NDT techniques and technologies, while bringing their heat treating expertise to all our locations, including CONAM Inspection and Engineering Services and Quality Services Laboratories (QSL-Plus)." He adds, "Over the years, QSL-Plus has been an excellent advanced NDT partner of Code Services. We see this merger as a natural fit. It allows us to provide an expanded NDT offering to our customers from a group of certified people that have always worked well together."

MHG will maintain the Code Services name for heat treating, while NDE Services will be merging with the Group's expanded assets of CONAM Inspection and Engineering Services Inc. Any union affiliated work in the area will be performed under the QSL-Plus name, a Union accredited company of the Group.
