ALMELO, THE NETHERLANDS-PANalytical, supplier of analytical instrumentation and software for X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF), is celebrating five years of growth and development achieved since its launch in September 2002. At that time the business, which was founded in the Netherlands in 1948 by Philips, changed its name following its acquisition by Spectris plc (Surrey, England). PANalytical has since established itself in the global marketplace through its technologies and products. Over the last five years, the number of systems sold by PANalytical has grown significantly. The company now employs more than 850 people worldwide.

Commercial Director Dr. Guido Eggermont says, “The way we do business and interact with customers and collaborators at all levels, our ability to innovate and bring the right products to market and support them around the world, are all important elements of our success. In 2002 we introduced a new name to the marketplace. Today PANalytical is well known and feedback from our customers, old and new, indicates that they recognize and value what we stand for. This is certainly supported by our growing sales and profitability over the past five years.”
