ESR Technology Appoints New Head of Power Group

CHESHIRE, UNITED KINGDOM - ESR Technology, an engineering, safety and risk management consultancy, has announced the appointment of Peter Roscoe as the new general manager of its power generation group.

Based at the company's headquarters in Warrington, Cheshire, Roscoe will be responsible for leading, managing and growing the power generation business. The group's technical services will focus on supporting the safety, operational and regulatory requirements of the power industry worldwide.

He has broad project management experience within the power industry, both in the UK and overseas, having led major engineering and risk management projects for AEA Technology and Serco in the civil nuclear power generation and nuclear propulsion markets. He is a chartered engineer and member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.

"We have more than 250 man years of power generation consulting experience and we look forward to deploying our skills not only within the UK but also in the Gulf region."

A Practical Field Guide for ISO 9001:2008

The purpose of this field guide is to assist organizations, step by step, in implementing a quality management system (QMS) in conformance with ISO 9001:2008, whether from scratch or by transitioning from ISO 9001:2000. It examines each sub-clause of Sections 4–8 of ISO 9001:2008, which contain the requirements, and gives a list of the documentation/documents required, internal audit questions, a summary of management’s responsibilities, and a flowchart of the steps that need to be undertaken to satisfy the requirements.
