The VJ video borescope has a 6.9--millimeter diameter insertion tube, which houses the 1/6-inch charge-coupled device (CCD) camera module and LEDs. Joystick-controlled four-way articulation allows the operator to point the camera in any direction, and the image is displayed on the integrated color monitor in 379,000-pixel resolution. An onboard image processor allows the capture of photos and video, giving the operator the ability to obtain a second opinion, show a customer a potential defect or create an archive. The borescope is available with either a 1.5- or 3-meter insertion tube.
