X-Ray Industries VP appointed to NDTMA Board

TROY, MI – Eric Thams, vice president of sales and marketing for X-Ray Industries, a provider of nondestructive testing services, was elected to a three-year term as a member of the board of directors of the Nondestructive Testing Management Association (NDTMA) at its recent annual meeting in Las Vegas. The NDTMA is a not-for-profit association headquartered in Celebration, FL, dedicated to the open exchange of information critical to the successful management of nondestructive testing (NDT) activities and personnel. His initial responsibilities will be as a member of the board’s membership committee.

Thams joined X-Ray Industries in 1992 as a product manager with Test Equipment Distributors, an affiliated company. He advanced through positions in sales and operations and prior to being named vice president of sales and marketing was general manager of the company’s testing laboratory in Troy, MI.

Eric holds a bachelor of science degree in industrial marketing from Western Michigan University’s Haworth College of Business. He is a member of the American Society of Nondestructive Testing, the Entrepreneurs’ Organization of Detroit and the Detroit Athletic Club.

X-Ray Industries has more than 65 years of experience in providing a broad range of nondestructive testing services, including liquid penetrant, magne tic particle, eddy current, ultrasonic and film and digital radiography. With seven locations across the United States, X-Ray Industries services the aerospace, automotive power generation and food processing industries.

A Practical Field Guide for ISO 9001:2008

The purpose of this field guide is to assist organizations, step by step, in implementing a quality management system (QMS) in conformance with ISO 9001:2008, whether from scratch or by transitioning from ISO 9001:2000.
