STUTTGART, GERMANY-Vision 2008, the international trade fair for machine vision and identification technologies, to be held at the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre, November 4 to 6, 2008, will include 25% more hall space than last year.

In November 2007, more than 6,100 visitors, up 16% from the previous year, obtained information about sector innovations at the international trade fair. The number of exhibitors was 282, 31% more than the previous year.

Vision 2008 will include halls 4 and 6 of the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre, providing 25% more exhibition area. In addition to complete systems, exhibitors also will present components for cameras, LEDs, optics, frame grabbers, processors and software.

Vision is supported by a range of industrial associations, such as the Machine Vision of the German Engineering Federation (VDMA), the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) and the Automated Imaging Association (AIA).

In addition to the exhibition program of Vision 2008, Industrial Vision Days, in line with VDMA, will have industry insiders from companies, institutes and other research institutes present their latest findings and experiences. Furthermore, this year the Vision Award will be presented for the 16th time for innovations in the machine vision industry. All companies, universities and institutes who have developed new machine vision solutions are eligible to participate.
