NORWOOD, MA-Admet Inc., a provider of integrated materials testing systems, is celebrating 20 years in business. In recognition of the milestone, the company is offering a free, turnkey biomedical or biomaterials testing system valued at up to $30,000 to a company or university operating in the United States.

The materials testing system awarded through this program will include one of the company's eXpert single- or dual-column 560x, 760x or 261x tabletop universal testing machines, Micro-eP palm-sized testers or DForce Dynamic test system as appropriate for the described project. The system will be equipped with the company's PC-based materials testing system, MTESTQuattro, and include the necessary grips and fixtures for the planned application.

“For 20 years Admet’s focus has been on producing leading edge testing systems that are reliable, exceed international standards and are easy to learn and use,” says Richard Gedney, Admet founder and president. “As technology changed, we expanded our scope to meet the needs of these new emerging markets, such as biomedical and biomaterials. Our 20th anniversary presents an opportunity to show our appreciation for our success by supporting a worthy research or testing project.”

The application is available for download on Admet’s Web site, www.admet.com. All applications must be received by June 30, 2009.

The applicant must be the project director of an active ongoing research or testing project with defined objectives in the biomedical field. Each applicant must complete all of the required information and describe how the equipment will be used to further their project findings. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

All fully completed applications will be judged by a committee by July 24, 2009. The recipient organization will be notified at that time.
