MoreCOLUMBUS, OH - The American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) is pleased to announce that a contractual agreement has been signed by ASNT and TÜV NORD Systems GmbH & Co. KG ("TÜV NORD") that permits ACCP Level II and III certificate holders to apply for PED Approval through TÜV NORD based on their holding currently valid ACCP certificates in the ACCP Pressure Equipment (PE) Industrial Sector. The NDT methods covered under this agreement are Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Radiographic Testing (RT) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
TÜV NORD, Essen, Germany, is a Notified Body (NB) and a Recognized Third Party Organization (RTPO) according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23 and has determined that the requirements defined in PED Guideline 6/13 have been met and will issue Approvals to qualified applicants on an individual basis.
