Dr. Thomas Kessler Joins Edmund Optics in Germany

BARRINGTON, NJ - Dr. Thomas Kessler has joined Edmund Optics, a supplier of industrial optics and optical components, as vice president European operations, operating from the company's offices in Karlsruhe, Germany. He will be responsible for all sales and distribution operations of the company in Europe.

Kessler will direct the overall coordination of all aspects of sales, marketing, service, technical support, inventory, distribution, product development, supplier relations, finance and organizational development of Edmund Optics in Europe.

"We are pleased and fortunate to have Dr. Kessler join our team," said Robert Edmund, CEO and president. "He brings to us the sales and business management skills from the precision optics industry that will help guide Edmund Optics to its next platform of growth in serving our European customers."
< br> According to Allan Kreutzer, vice president of global sales, "As many of our customers are global, our organization needs to be structured to meet their global needs. Dr. Kessler will help us accomplish this as we structure our operations throughout Europe to function as a single virtual entity in serving our customers."

Dr. Kessler will also be responsible for opening additional regional field sales offices throughout Europe to more effectively serve EO customers with both standard catalog products and precision custom optics as part of our objective to serve as the world's preferred supplier of optical components.

Dr. Kessler earned his Ph.D. and Master's Degrees in Physics from J.W. Goethe-University in Frankfurt/Main.

A Practical Field Guide for ISO 9001:2008

The purpose of this field guide is to assist organizations, step by step, in implementing a quality management system (QMS) in conformance with ISO 9001:2008, whether from scratch or by transitioning from ISO 9001:2000.
