AKRON, OH - Applied Vision Corp., a provider of machine vision inspection systems for the container manufacturing industry, was recently honored with the Weatherhead 100 award as one of the fastest growing companies in its region. Widely considered the most influential forum for recognizing the accomplishments of Northeast Ohio's business community, the Weatherhead 100 Awards are presented by the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. Applied Vision won a spot on the list thanks to 248% sales growth and 218% employment growth in between 2003 and 2007.

‘‘Customer-focus, advanced engineering capabilities and the absolute highest quality in manufacturing have all been integral factors in our growth and industry leadership,’‘ says Manijeh Novini, chief financial officer and vice president of marketing at Applied Vision. ‘‘Our team takes great pride in knowing that our continued excellence on all these factors contributes to the well-being of Northeast Ohio and all our locations worldwide by bringing jobs, prosperity and recognition to these communities. It is great incentive for all of us to keep the momentum going.’‘

Applied Vision Corp. designs and manufactures application¬specific machine vision inspection systems for packaging, food and beverage containers and color printing. Applied Vision systems are sold worldwide through original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), value added resellers (VARs), full-service distributors and company direct.
