Edmund Optics Launches Chinese Language Web Site

BARRINGTON, NJ - Edmund Optics announces the launching of a Chinese Language Web site, www.edmundoptics.cn. This now brings the company's total to nine global websites in five languages, allowing EO to continue to provide a high level of regionalized service to its customers. The new website features the entire EO online product catalog translated into Chinese and RMB pricing. Customers and site visitors can also contact representatives for free technical support and customer service in Chinese via phone or email.

The EO Web site also has more than 16,000 downloadable technical drawings, an interactive online discussion forum, engineering downloads and frequently asked questions to help customers quickly and easily select their optics.

Visitors can also request a copy of the Asian Master Source Book or additional information about Edmund Optics and its products and services, visit www.edmundoptics.cn, or email chinasales@edmundoptics.cn.

EO's first China office opened its doors in October 1994 in Shanghai and in 2005 was joined by a second location in Shenzhen, China. EO's Chinese offices offer manufacturing, optical assembly, optical design and engineering capabilities supporting the global organization. Additionally, the Chinese offices provide localized sales, customer service and technical support to ensure continued sales grow in the region.

Managing Director of EO China, Jeremy Chang, notes that "the launching of the Chinese Web site is not only a needed sales tool for our growing customer base, but is extremely exciting for all of our staff in China. It demonstrates EO's commitment to offering premier service by having a local, physical presence where a complete package of customer and technical services is provided in the local language."
