The collaboration between the two companies, which manufacture automated inspection systems for a variety of industries such as aerospace, automotive, oil and gas, aims to diversify revenues for Mecnov and expand Midas-NDT’s geographical bases. Since the agreement was concluded in February 2011, Mecnov and Midas-NDT have been actively bidding conjointly on various projects.
Both companies will be exhibiting together at the upcoming Society for the Advancement and Material Process Engineering (SAMPE) 2011 show, to be held from May 23r to 26 in Long Beach, CA, where exhibitors include leading advanced composite manufacturers for the aerospace industry.
Automated nondestructive testing (NDT) systems are used by manufacturers of primary structures and components for aircraft, high-speed railroad transportation, oil and gas prospection and production, nuclear power generation and many other applications.
