Pleora Technologies Appoints Vice President, Marketing and Sales

OTTAWA, CANADA - Pleora Technologies announced the appointment of Rob Lee to the position of vice president, marketing and sales. Lee is responsible for establishing the marketing and sales strategies, processes, and support systems required to take Pleora through its next major growth phase.

“We see substantial growth ahead of us as we expand business with existing customers and aggressively pursue opportunities in strategic new markets,” says George Chamberlain, president, Pleora Technologies. “Rob’s proven track record of managing through growth while strengthening customer and channel relationships will play a vital role in Pleora’s success.”

Pleora supports a global customer base in a diverse set of medical, military, and manufacturing markets. Its end-to-end video connectivity solutions – which transport almost all formats of video and imaging data in real time cost-effectively over standard networks – are found in a wide range of deployments where performance and reliability are paramount.

“Pleora offers a number of world-leading video connectivity products, but what really differentiates us is our end-to-end solutions capability,” says Lee. “More and more, manufacturers and systems integrators are incorporating our solutions into their larger systems, rather than developing their own video connectivity technology, because they recognize our leadership in this niche market and our single-minded focus on advancing the technology. By leveraging our expertise, they can direct their energy and resources to their own strategic areas of competitive differentiation and core competence.”

Prior to joining Pleora, Lee was a recipient of the 2005 Ottawa Business Journal Forty Under 40 Award and holds an MSc in Engineering from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada.

The purpose of this field guide is to assist organizations, step by step, in implementing a quality management system (QMS) in conformance with ISO 9001:2008, whether from scratch or by transitioning from ISO 9001:2000. It examines each sub-clause of Sections 4–8 of ISO 9001:2008, which contain the requirements, and gives a list of the documentation/documents required, internal audit questions, a summary of management’s responsibilities, and a flowchart of the steps that need to be undertaken to satisfy the requirements.
