CLEVELAND - Pressco Technology was an honored recipient of the 2009 Governor's Excellence in Exporting Award for the state of Ohio. For more than 25 years, the governor of Ohio has presented E-Awards to companies and organizations of all sizes that demonstrate outstanding performance in exporting as a vital component of the state’s economy. Representing Pressco at the awards ceremony were Don W. Cochran, chief executive officer, and William C. Holmes, president.

Since it was established in 1966, Pressco has shipped over 5,000 turnkey vision and sensor-based products to 68 countries around the world. Although all of its products are manufactured in Ohio, 96% are shipped out of the state and nearly 50% of all sales are to international customers. In 2008, Pressco partnered with an Italian manufacturer to private label several of their products for integration into Pressco’s product line. The company has also hired several European service engineers over the last three years to provide more local support to European customers. In addition it also formed a China representative office and hired a Chinese National in 2008 to stage the company for continued growth in Asia.
