BARRINGTON, NJ-Edmund Optics (EO), a provider of optical components, was named one of the top workplaces for 2012 in the Philadelphia region based on an independent survey conducted on behalf ofThe Inquirer, thePhiladelphia Daily News, andPhilly.com.

WorkplaceDynamics, who conducted the survey, invited employees of 1,640 companies around the region to rate their bosses and companies. Edmund Optics, who was named a Top Workplace for the third year in a row, was recognized in the mid-size company category for their strengths in five key areas of the workplace:

  • Execution-Assessment of how the company communicates and gets work done;
  • Career –Opportunities for training and progression;
  • Managers-Quality of management and managerial skills; and
  • Pay and benefits-Assessment of employee compensation for work done.
